Gary B. Woolman, CEPA, CFBS

Founder and Retirement Income Specialist for Business Owners and Corporate Executives

While Gary Woolman’s introduction to the financial services industry may have been somewhat accidental, his decades of success as a financial advisor most certainly are not. In the late seventies, Gary was persuaded to consider a career in insurance. Though Gary insisted he was happy as a bank manager, the recruiter persisted.

Now entering his fourth decade in the business, the founder of Woolman Financial Group, has built a successful practice based on his sharp analytical capabilities, a strong work ethic, and his dedication to faith and community. He has a strong team to ensure that clients and their families will be well taken care of for many years to come.

Gary’s comprehensive approach to his clients’ finances allows them to see their full financial picture at one glance. His natural curiosity and analytical style translate into strategies that are questioned, tested, then tested again before implementation. “Everyone comes in with certain opinions about what they should do with their money, advice they may have received from friends, colleagues or the media,” explains Gary. “We challenge every assumption because everyone has a different need for money, and one size does not fit all,” he adds. “My job is fine-tune the methods to your unique needs.”

Woolman Financial Group offers a specialized approach to financial services with an emphasis on balancing wealth creation and protection. The practice works with individuals and families at all life stages. Gary’s personal passion is working with business owners to help grow and protect their businesses, and to assist with exit and legacy-building strategies. Coming from a family of educators and coaches, Gary derives great personal satisfaction from teaching and guiding his clients to do well for themselves.

Outside of work, Gary is a proud grandfather of six, who loves to travel and spend time with his wife, Becky. He and Becky are deeply involved in their church, Headwaters Church, where they both are very involved in the prayer ministry and he is a group table leader in the adult Bible Fellowship, called Legacy, as well the men’s weekly Bible study. In 2002 Gary graduated from Leadership Fort Wayne, which provides leadership development to a diverse group of citizens to empower them to effectively serve their community.

Gary and Becky reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Brian K. Woolman, CEPA, CFBS

Financial Strategist

Growing up with a father in the business, Brian always had in the back of his mind that someday he would like to join his father’s firm. However, like most children, he had many other dreams he wished to pursue. He knew he wanted to make his own mark but also saw the importance of helping others with their own personal finances.

Upon graduating from Indiana University – Bloomington, he took a job in Orlando, Florida. After a year of work, his original plan soon changed in the wake of the financial crisis at the beginning of 2009. In one fell swoop, he saw the corporate side of a Fortune 500 company and perceived the need for providing sound financial advice,

He cut his teeth in the business by working as a staff member of WFG and servicing the investment side of Gary’s business. Those years provided Brian with a clearer understanding of the vital role financial advisors fill. He witnessed firsthand the success of those clients who followed his father’s advice during their working years, and this unique experience provided Brian with a perspective that few young advisors possess.

In 2012, Brian married his lovely wife, Katie, and shortly after his first child was born in 2014, Brian switched to a full-time advisory role which allowed Katie to stay home with their daughter. After being trained on the LEAP System early in the business, he began using Wealth Building Cornerstones (WBC) in 2015 as a key component to helping his clients’ financial strategy.

While LEAP and WBC are closely aligned philosophically, he switched to WBC for two reasons:

This system provides clearer communication to the client.

WBC provides academic research studies to back the strategies presented.

Whether you are looking for an overall financial strategy to follow or just want help with investments or life/disability insurance, Brian will help you move toward your specific financial objectives.

Since 2015, Brian and his wife have had two more children, both sons. Brian loves spending as much time as possible with his family, and his passion for studying Reformed theology and the gospel has become a meaningful part of that cherished family time. Additionally, he enjoys watching his favorite sports (IndyCar racing and IU basketball to name a few) and traveling to new places with his family.

Currently, he and his family attend a local Lutheran church and are part of a church plant effort to help bring a Reformed church to the Fort Wayne area.
